Kent State Softball Camps
2010 Live Hitting Vs. Live Pitching Camp for HS Athletes
This camp offers opportunities for High School age softball hitters to face live pitching and High School pitchers to face live hitters in preparation for the upcoming High School season while receiving instruction from the Kent State Coaching staff.

CAMP DATES:
4 Consecutive Tuesdays in January: January 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th
Time: 6:30-8:00pm
FOR: Softball players in grades 9 – 12 **This camp is open to any high school athlete but will be limited to 6 pitchers, 6 catchers and 16 hitters.
COST: $140 per person, includes all 4 sessions.
INSTRUCTORS: Kent State University head coach Karen Linder and assistant coaches Kim Burke and pitching coach Amy Densevich, and other KSU alumni.
STRUCTURE:
1. Warm-up/Instruction will be a half hour long, while live competition will be an hour long.
2. Instruction will be given to the pitchers, catchers, and hitters while the live competition is going on.
3. Pitchers will focus on pitching only. Catchers will work both catching and hitting skills.
4. Hitters will rotate through cages facing various pitchers while receiving instruction.

INSURANCE: Kent State University has purchased insurance for each participant that will cover injury over and above the primary insurance coverage. A first aid provider will be on duty. Minor injuries will be treated at Robinson Memorial Hospital. Each participant must have a KSU medical care form signed by a parent/ legal guardian in order to participate (click here). If you register early, one will be e-mailed to you. In cases of cancellation, the camp fee less a $20 administrative fee will be refunded up to two weeks prior to the camp. Any cancellations within two weeks of camp must be accompanied by a medical excuse in order to recieve your camp refund less the $20 administrative fee.
