2011 KSU Softball Showcase Camp: Information Page
The Showcase is January 8th, 2011


Camp Director: Karen Linder, KSU Head Softball Coach.

Instructors:
KSU Softball coaching staff, athletes and other top collegiate coaches.

Location:
KSU Field House equipped with a full size indoor
turf football field and 4 batting cages.

Registration:
Fee includes instruction and camp t-shirt that is to be worn at camp.


*All KSU Softball camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants.  The only limiting factors are age of the camper and size of the camp.

Participation:
Due to this camp's popularity, participation in the camp will be determined by the order in which KSU receives payment. A confirmation will be sent via email after registration and upon receipt of payment.  Cut-off for camp registration will be determined by the camper limits being met or will automatically be shut down on January 3, 2011.  SIGN UP EARLY!!

If the session you would like to attend is full and you are unable to attend another session, please use the Showcase Waiting List to reserve your place for openings. Clearly list which session you'd prefer to attend in the space provided.

Why Attend?

Instruction from and exposure to college coaches from across the Midwest. The 2010 Showcase brought in over 125 coaches from 9 different states. Division I, II, III, NAIA, & Junior Colleges were represented.
 
Eligibility: Girls in Grades 9-12 (2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 graduates)
Dates: January 8, 2011

• All Sessions are limited to number of participants with a maximum of 15 participants on a waiting list per session.  Every softball session has closed over the last three years.

General Information
Participants should wear sneakers and shorts.
Every girl will be given a color-coded t-shirt to wear the day of camp.
Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your first session to check-in and turn in your medical forms.
Directions are located on the Facility/Directions tab to the left.
Apparel and concessions will be sold during the camp.
•  NO Session will conflict with the Queens of Diamonds Showcase Games

Insurance
Kent State University has purchased insurance for each participant that will cover injury over and above your primary insurance coverage. A first aid provider will be on duty.  Each participant and all catchers must have Hold Harmless and Medical Care form turned in at check-in in order to participate. If you register online, you can access these forms in the Required Forms tab to the left.  If you register after the online cut-off date, a parent must accompany the participant to sign the forms the day of camp.

Refunds

Your camp fee, less a $20.00 non-refundable administrative fee, will be refunded with out questions if you cancel before Dec. 15, 2010.  At any time after that date, a refund less the $20.00 administrative fee will be made for medical reasons only and must be accompanied by a signed medical statement from your physicians.  If no request is made before camp begins, NO refund will be given, including no-shows. 
 
***Campers on the Wait List will receive the camp fee less a $5.00 processing fee per wait list if she does not make it into the session.

Confirmations
Confirmations will be sent out via email.  Online registration and email is the primary method in contacting you with 2011 KSU Showcase Information.
