KSU Softball Showcase Camp: COLLEGE COACHES Registration Page
The Showcase is January 9th, 2010

All college coaches are welcome to attend the Kent State Softball Showcase Camp. There is no cost for coaches to register or attend the Showcase.  This registration is for COLLEGE COACHES ONLY!

PITCHING SESSIONS:
 I.    9:00 – 10:00  9 - 12 Grade
 II.   10:15 – 11:15  9 - 12 Grade
   
OFFENSIVE SESSIONS:

Pitching:
 
9:00 – 9:20 / 10:15 – 10:35
 Warm-up & drill work
 9:20 – 9:40 / 10:35 – 10:55  Open throwing
 9:40 – 10:00 / 10:55 – 11:15  Throw opposite pitches (fast & change; curve & screw; rise & drop)
  
Offensive Sessions:
- Brief hitting walk through – 15 minutes per session, each station 20 minutes
 Station I
 Hitting in cages and drills outside cage
 Station II  Hitting off tees
 Station III  Bunting and base-running to 1st, steals from 1st – 2nd without slide
** Participants will be separated into three hitting groups and rotate to each 20 minute station **

Catching:

 11:55 – 12:15  Drop steps, ground balls, charging, shoe strings, line drives (3 small groups)
 12:15 – 12:30  Balls to fence – throw to relay
 12:30 – 12:45
 Reading ball off bat - ground balls, fly balls
 12:45 – 1:00  2 line communication – ground balls, fly balls

Infield A & B:
 1:15 – 1:25 / 3:00 – 3:10  Organization & introductions (4 groups based on grade & position)
 1:25 – 1:40 / 3:10 – 3:25  Throw to warm-up
 1:40 – 1:55 / 3:25 – 3:50  Backhands, forehands, charging, and drop steps
 1:55 – 2:45 / 3:50 – 4:30  Infielders making throws to bases
